Below is a list of various scholarships and funding options available to undergraduate students at universities in the UK. We have tried to make the list as comprehensive as possible, and you can sort it or search for an institution.

If you are assessed as a home student by Imperial and receive a Maintenance Grant, you will be eligible for a Study Support Bursary. To be eligible for the maximum bursary of £3,500, you must be in receipt of the maximum Maintenance Grant (£2,906).

Keele University (The Keele Bursary)

The Keele Bursary will be awarded to UK students who enrol on a full-time undergraduate course at Keele in September 2010, are in receipt of a full (maximum) maintenance grant or special support grant and have a gross annual household income below £25,000. Students in receipt of NHS funding and PGCE students are not eligible to receive this bursary.

Students who have been in local authority care in foster care or in residential care for a continuous period of at least 6 months since the age of 14 and put Keele as first or insurance choice. The bursary is £1,000 in year 1 rising to £2,000 in the final year, subject to satisfactory progress through the course.

All students living in the UK who are in receipt of a full or partial maintenance grant, have a household income below £40,000 and are also applying for a place on one of our Study Abroad programmes. If you are offered a place on a Study Abroad Programme (not in a European university) in your second year, we will give you an application form to apply for a Study Abroad Bursary.

King's College, London (myBursary)

The King's myBursary scheme is open to every full-time home undergraduate student in receipt of the new Maintenance Grant, who begins their course in 2011-12. The bursary will be paid in addition to the Maintenance grant, but will be means tested alongside the amount you receive for your maintenance grant.

Liverpool John Moores University (Vice Chancellor's Award)

Who can Apply: All UK students

This is a highly prestigious award which will only be given to academically gifted students who will act as ambassadors for LJMU. You must achieve a minimum of three grade As at A2 or equivalent. This level of academic excellence will need to be sustained throughout your course. You must also be able to demonstrate a level of commitment, excellence and achievement above that of your peers. This may be through citizenship, sport, performing arts, etc.

Liverpool John Moores University (Achievers Award)

You must be able to show an area of commitment, achievement and excellence above your peers in an area such as volunteering, sports, the arts, citizenship. The awards are intended to remove any financial barriers to studying for students that show potential and/or determination. Priority will be given to students that have accepted LJMU as their first choice (firm) via UCAS.

LSBU offers a great Annual Bursary scheme for full time, home, undergraduate students. To ensure that you receive LSBU's Annual Bursary, you will need to complete the appropriate application for student finance, depending on the type of student you are, even if you are ineligible or are not applying for any other student support.

In order to be eligible for consideration, you will need to be a permanent resident of the United Kingdom (this excludes Isle of Man and Channel Islands residents) in accordance with the relevant regulations and eligible for a UK government student maintenance/ living costs loan, liable for the full tuition fee (£3,375 in 2011/12 - provisional figure, to be confirmed) and undertaking an undergraduate degree course at Loughborough University as a full-time student.

Middlesex University (Chancellor Scholarship)

These scholarships reward academic, sporting or community/cultural excellence. You can apply for a Chancellor's scholarship when submitting your application for a place at Middlesex, when you have received an offer from Middlesex or once you have started your studies. You are required to submit two references to support your application.

Middlesex University (Luck Hille Sports School)

This scholarship has been made available through support from the Luck Hille Foundation. The award will be made annually to two students up to the value of £3000 each. We welcome applications from athletes who are able to demonstrate a significant achievement in their chosen sport, and who can also provide a strong case for the benefit that the scholarship will make in enabling them to pursue their sporting ambitions.

Middlesex University (Conygar Scholarship)

Who can Apply: All UK students

The Conygar Investment Plc Scholarships are available for first-year UK Middlesex University Business School undergraduate students who are the first in their family to go to University. Two scholarships each year worth £3000 each have been generously awarded by the Conygar Investment Company, a property trading and development group co-founded by Middlesex alumnus Peter Batchelor. Applicants should normally be the first generation in their family to go to University and should be able to demonstrate real potential to excel on their degree programme. If you meet this criteria you will need to make a short case for eligibility as part of your application.

If you think you are on track for excellent grades, then why not apply for our academic excellence scholarship, sponsored by Santander? Each year several new first year UK/EU undergraduate students will be awarded £3,500 each; that's a full year's undergraduate tuition fee. Not everyone gets top grades, but we find that students with more purpose in life also have the potential to really succeed at university. As we'd like to encourage a wide range of students to apply to Oxford Brookes, we've introduced Community Scholarships. You must be at a state-maintained secondary school or college of further education in Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire or Berkshire. If you are at Brooklands College, Solihull College, Swindon College or New College, Swindon then you are also eligible.

Oxford Brookes University (International Exchange Scholarships)

Oxford Brookes wants to ensure that all Brookes undergraduate students have the opportunity to go on an international exchange during their degree course. UK undergraduate students who receive the maximum Oxford Brookes Bursary (£1,800) can also receive an extra £750 per semester to fund studies abroad, rising to a maximum of £1,500 over two semesters. UK undergraduate Nursing Degree students who receive the maximum NHS bursary (£2,346 / £2810) can also receive an extra £750 per semester to fund studies abroad, rising to a maximum of £1,500 over two semesters.

Oxford Brookes University (Transition from Care Bursary)

At Brookes we understand that students who have previously been in local authority care may have additional costs and needs when transferring to full time higher education. Therefore, if you are eligible for a HE Maintenance Grant from the Student Loan Company and spent a period of the time from the age of fourteen in local authority care you may be eligible for an additional bursary of up to £2,000 per annum.

Founder's Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to full-time students from England and Wales who are in receipt of a full or partial Government Maintenance Grant for the year of study, and with a household income of £39,333 per year or less. Students must also be liable for variable tuition fees during their degree programme (£3,375) and for the year of study In addition to this, students must also achieve a minimum of 3 A grades at GCE A2-level or equivalent, in those specific subject elements of their academic qualifications which are specified in their UCAS offer as requirements for admission for their programme of undergraduate study at Royal Holloway.

All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students who are either already attending the College, or who have applied for admission and been accepted onto a course at Royal Holloway. Applicants for the scheme must have an outstanding ability in a particular sport, being currently junior or senior international performers, or showing strong evidence of international potential. They must also make themselves available to represent the College and/or University of London in their sport.

The Birmingham Grant offers additional support to all students whose household income falls below the University's annual financial threshold. You will receive the grant from the University if you have successfully achieved a place at the University, are a full-time undergraduate classed as a UK student, are eligible to pay the full undergraduate fee, have applied for financial assessment through your relevant Student Loans Company agency and have a household income below the threshold.

The Access to Learning Fund provides discretionary financial assistance for students to help them access and remain in higher education - particularly those students who need financial help to meet extra costs that cannot be met from other sources of support. The Fund can help to alleviate unexpected financial hardship. Students who may be considering leaving higher education because of financial problems are particularly encouraged to apply. Usually, you will not have to repay any assistance provided by The Fund.

In order to be assessed for the University Bursary, you and all of your sponsors must have agreed to share your financial information with the University. Cash maintenance bursaries are available for UK students from low income households to ensure that no student is deterred from applying to Essex on the grounds of financial hardship. For those students with residual household incomes up to and including £25,000 the University will provide a cash bursary of £700 for course related costs.

Santander Group has recently agreed to fund additional Formula Santander Scholarships for students applying to study at the University of Essex in 2011/2012. Two scholarships of Û5,000 to be awarded to postgraduate Master's students or undergraduate students. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, to students who would not otherwise be able to take up a place at Essex.

To be eligible for the award of an Eliahou Dangoor Scholarship undergraduate students must demonstrate academic strength through their UCAS submission, including attained or predicted A-level grades (or equivalent) and must meet or exceed the entry requirements specified in the University's offer, they must register for an eligible full-time Bachelors degree at the University of Essex with enrolment in 2010/11, 2011/12 or 2012/13 and they must be UK (home fees) students.

The scholarship will be awarded to any applicant entering their first year of undergraduate study at Kent, from September 2012, who achieves AAA over three A levels or the qualifications specified below. The three A levels can include General Studies and Critical Thinking (unless these are specifically excluded from the offer). Applicants must also have satisfied their conditions of entry to the University.

Scholarships are available to elite sportsmen and women from any sport who compete (at least) at county level or equivalent. Scholars should be committed to representing the University of Kent and preferably play for teams based at the Canterbury Campus. We consider undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, as well as current students. It is not necessary to wait for an offer of a place before submitting your application, however the offer of a scholarship does not carry with it the offer of a place.

You do not need to apply for the Liverpool Bursary. By submitting your PN1 or online application for government grants or loans, you consent to share your information with the University. This allows our Student Fees section to assess your eligibility. If you are eligible for the Liverpool Bursary it will be paid to you automatically in December and March in the same way as your Maintenance Grant. You will be contacted prior to the funds being transferred into your bank account.

The Liverpool Opportunity and Achievement Scholarship is to support outstanding students from lower income households. The John Lennon Memorial Scholarships were set up by a trust fund endowed in the University for the provision of scholarships in the memory of John Lennon. The award is intended to support students in financial need and enhance, among other things, awareness of global problems and environmental issues. Current and prospective Home and EU undergraduates and postgraduates (taught and research), in any subject area, who have accepted the University of Liverpool as their first choice university, are eligible to apply.
